Delamain is one of the few houses to ship early landed cognacs to Great Britain for ageing where dampness of storage is such an important aspect of ageing. These ‘damp’ English conditions make for a more delicate, refined drink than the equivalent casks aged in France, and typically display light floral and fruity aromas with subtle hints of wood. The vintage cognacs are produced exclusively from the Grande Champagne vineyards designated as the highest quality in the region.
