Frapin Cuvee Rabelais is a limited edition of 600 bottles, a tribute to Francois Rabelais, son of Catherine Frapin, born in 1494. The greater part of the Cognac dates from before 1870, before the phylloxera outbreak which devistated 90% of the vineyards. Presented in a 24-carat gold plated decanter shaped as a working timepiece of a time gone by it was launched in January 2002.
The decanter is perfect, the wooden box is slightly scratched.
