What Hine tells about this product:
"Regarding Hine Vintage Grande Champagne 1914, not only was this an exceptional year for Cognac but it also unfortunately marked the beginning of the first world war. In the Cognac region, 1914 is know as the Ladies Vintage. The reason for this is that most men having gone to war, the picking, vinification and distillation were essentially carried out by women. Aged in casks until 1958, when it had reached peak maturity, this particular parcel was then store in demijohns to be bottled in 1987. Subtle perfumes of flower and undergrowth give this cognac a rich and aromatic bouquet. Its roundness and plenitude are remarkable."
